The Quality Management Officer for sales (QMO for short) represents senior management and is responsible for assuring that the requirements contained in the 9001: 2015 standard relating to quality management in the sales division are put into practice.
Answering to the Chief Executive Sales, the QMO has the duty and authorization to perform the following activities:
• Assess customer satisfaction and make the sales team aware of customer requirements.
• Provide support and assistance when new procedures and methods are introduced.
• Involve and motivate employees in quality initiatives.
• Give advice and support for error tracking, research into causes and fault analysis.
In other words the QMO is the go-to person for all quality-related concerns.
The position of QMO therefore demands motivation, experience, organizational talent and tenacity, but also the trust of colleagues.
